This policy describes the data collected by the Upfoos mobile application (hereinafter “the App”), published by Upfoos, and how that data is used and protected.

1. Who we are

Upfoos publishes a companion app for the Upfoos connected accessory, which turns a foosball table into a game controller. For any questions about your data: vincent@upfoos.com.

2. Data we collect

User account (optional, required for online features)

  • Email address and password (stored in encrypted form, never in plain text)
  • Nickname and avatar (optional photo or generated avatar)

Public profile card (optional)

  • Category (player, club or venue)
  • City, entered manually and then converted into approximate geographic coordinates for display on the community map. The App never accesses your device’s GPS.

Game data

  • Scores, shot statistics (speed, position) and rankings. Your nickname and avatar may appear publicly in the rankings.

Social features

  • Relationships (audience, memberships), in-app messages, online presence, open matches, challenges and tournaments.

Subscription

  • Subscription status and purchase history, processed by Google Play and RevenueCat. We never have access to your payment details.

Notifications

  • Device token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) for push notifications.

Sensor data

  • Raw data from the Bluetooth sensors (pods) is processed locally on your device. Only aggregated scores and statistics are transmitted online.

3. What we do not do

  • No advertising in the App
  • No selling or commercial sharing of your data
  • No advertising trackers

4. Technical processors

  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication
  • RevenueCat — subscription management
  • Google — payments (Google Play Billing) and notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
  • OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — conversion of city names into coordinates

5. Legal basis and retention period

Data is processed on the basis of the performance of the service (account, online play, subscription) and of your consent (public profile card, notifications). It is retained for as long as your account exists, then deleted in accordance with the Account Deletion page.

6. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, data portability and objection regarding your data. To exercise these rights: vincent@upfoos.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

7. Changes

This policy may change as the App evolves. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
